Unable to live with or without each other, life and death, day and night, light and dark, the beautiful and the banal. Provide tension and dysfunction together evoking a state of dissonance, a haunting beauty and like the writers of sad songs' I attempt to find harmony in the discord.

This series of images set out to exploit the light or the lack of it, find familiarity and create distance, seeking the beauty in the banal I walk through a landscape that, to me is so familiar and yet, it's in the unknown that you can conjure most meaning an unwarranted connection perhaps a ‘sense of place’, but more a state of mind.
